KundliDost is a Vedic astrology app for people who think in Hindi. It makes your Janam Kundli, reads your daily rashifal aloud, matches kundlis for marriage, and answers questions from your own birth chart — in Hindi or English.

Who makes it

KundliDost is built and run by Sheela Labs, an independent software studio in India. It is not affiliated with any temple, astrologer, matrimonial service or publisher. There is no call centre and no panel of astrologers behind the app.

How the readings are calculated

Every chart is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris using the Lahiri ayanamsa, the same sidereal calculation professional Jyotish software uses. Planetary positions, lagna, nakshatra, Vimshottari dasha, the 36-guna Ashtakoota score, panchang and choghadiya all come from that calculation — not from a lookup table and not from a language model. The arithmetic is the same every time, for everyone.

Where the AI fits

The chat is the only part that uses AI. It reads your computed chart and current dasha, then explains them in plain language. It is computer-generated guidance, not a human astrologer, and the app says so wherever it appears. It is meant for reflection — never as medical, legal or financial advice. We do not promise outcomes, and we do not sell remedies.

What is free, and what is not

• One AI question a day, and three more by watching a short ad.
• KundliDost Pro (₹99/month) removes the question limit.
• The astrology API is free and needs no key.
• The panchang dataset for 45 Indian cities is published under CC BY 4.0.

Your data

Birth details are used to compute your chart and nothing else. They are never sold. You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app, or from the account deletion page. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
